Well Wishes Brother

A firefighter is hospitalized in critical but stable condition after sustaining burns over 42 percent of his body while battling a two alarm blaze in Crown Heights this morning. FDNY units responded to the scene around 9 a.m. at 1102 Prospect Place, where a three-story brownstone was engulfed in flames. Here's video of the fire, via Firefighter Nation. (Be warned, the video shows a firefighter engulfed in flames):

The unidentified firefighter is currently hospitalized at the Cornell Burn Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, under heavy sedation but breathing on his own. An FDNY spokesman tells us he sustained burns to his head, face, neck, back, and hands. Another firefighter is also in serious condition at the burn center. Three other firefighters also sustained minor injuries battling the blaze, which was brought under control around 10:15 a.m. No civilians were hurt, and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
